Lacking Good Content Here…

I seem to be having some trouble drawing traffic to this blog, so I was thinking about changing the name or the url or something. I’m not sure. I’ll figure it out sometime. Since starting this little project I’ve actually found quite a few other blogs by writers and freelancers and naturally they all have waaaaaayyyyy better content than me. This blog is going to have to get a little more competitive.

Anyway, I found a great blog post in Freelancing Follies giving the basics on becoming a writer. The author lists the four basic kinds of paid writing:

• business writing

• technical writing

• copywriting

• editing/proofreading

• and writing writing (in other words where the Stephen Kings of the world reside)

and she also gives a few other tasty bits about beefing up your portfolio, making bids on projects and places to look for work online. You can also check out something of a feud over the nature of erotica fiction and just who writes that kind of stuff.
